WhatsApp  is widely known for its cross-platform messaging service and have billions of users worldwide. Whatsapp has introduced a new  payment feature that allows users to make transactions via WhatsApp to their contact list. It is UPI based payments service that allows you to both send and receive money. It was developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). 

How to send or receive money:

User can send or receive money after adding a bank account via UPI based Apps just like we do in Paytm , Phonepe or Google pay. Same procedure , UPI pin will be used to transfer money. Money is directly transferred between bank account through UPI. Major Partners are HDFC bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and BHIM UPI.

Payment Feature will prove to be a tough competition for other digital payment platforms because of its trusted user base. 

Status of Transfers will be confirmed in chat and past transfers can be viewed in payment settings.
